Richard Hatch has enjoyed international recognition for more than three decades. He has starred in such series as The Streets of San Francisco for which he won Germany’s Bravo Award (the equivalent of an Emmy Award), and the role of Philip Brent, which he originated on ABC’s All My Children. Hatch is best known and received a Golden Globe nomination for his portrayal of Captain Apollo in classic Battlestar Galactica. He is also well known for playing the integral role of political activist Tom Zarek in the re-imagined version of this iconic series. Richard’s recent projects include a guest starring role on Pairings, for which he won Best Guest Actor at the Indie Series Awards; a steampunk pilot, Cowboys & Engines with Malcolm McDowell; LOADOUT: Going in Hot, After the Harvest, and his role as Klingon Commander Kharn in Star Trek: Axanar. Richard began his theatrical career with the Los Angeles Repertory Theater. He starred Off-Broadway in several plays and musicals including the Obie Award winning play, PS Your Cat Is Dead, for which he was nominated for the Joseph Jefferson award. In addition, Hatch has starred in such movies for television as The Hatfields And The McCoys with Jack Palance, Addie And The King of Hearts with Jason Robards, Last Of The Belles with Susan Sarandon, The Class Of 65, The Hustler Of Muscle Beach, and the cult classic Deadman’s Curve, in which he portrayed Jan Berry of the musical group “Jan and Dean”. Hatch's directing credits include Second Coming, a self produced movie trailer depicting his vision of a Battlestar universe 20 years into the future, a short for White Wings, a period piece about domestic violence set in the 1920's, and an episode of the award winning web series Silicon Assassin. Richard has also written, produced and directed an infomercial for the for the securities industry and produced his own reality series, Who the Frak. Richard is currently directing a movie called With Honors, a story about a Vietnam War Veteran and his experiences upon returning home. A published author, Hatch has co-written seven Battlestar Galactica novels as well as a Battlestar compendium, So Say We All. Richard is currently working to finish his epic Sci-Fi novel, The Great War of Magellan (GWOM), a story he developed over the last decade. During that time, Hatch produced a trailer, wrote a comic book series and launched a role playing game for GWOM. Richard plans to produce a web series for GWOM in the future. When not busy with directing, writing and performing, Richard teaches acting workshops and intensives around the country and globally. He also teaches a weekly acting class in Los Angeles. Richard is passionate about teaching and helping actors uplevel their skills. Using dynamic breathing and relaxation techniques, self-expression exercises, scene studies and a variety of acting methods, Richard teaches actors how to emotionally and mentally connect to a role, bringing to life the most exciting elements of the character and story. This is Sarah Navratil’s second film with Theatrical Arts Foundation! She also recently worked with them on stage, playing the roles of Elizabeth in Frankenstein and Celia in Calendar Girls. Currently, she is completing feature film, Nothing Like the Sun, a family drama set in 1949. Paul Masterson comes from a Classical theatre background with a B.A. in theatre from William and Mary, and an MFA from CalArts. Some favorite theatres he has worked in include The Guthrie, Shakespeare and Company, and Actor's Theatre of Louisville. Paul works as an actor, producer, and writer in Los Angeles. Some recent credits include a feature film adaptation of Oscar Wilde's Lady Windemere's Fan by Theatrical Arts International, the comedic web series Miss Guidance, and Veer, a science fiction pilot currently in post production. Paul hosts and produces a beverage show on YouTube called Drinks Made Easy, and will be seen in the near future in the web series, Hey Cthulhu! and the feature film, His Name is John.
Tarika Brandt,“Presence”, is an award-winning actor, performer, singer/songwriter, published poet, author, and philanthropist. Aside from being a performer she also finds meaningful work as a death midwife hospice volunteer, healing arts therapist, counselor & group facilitator.
Tarika has received a best actress award for her portrayal as a cosmonaut stuck in space in the film “Microgravity” (microgravityfilm.com). She has received critical acclaim with reviewers from publications such as the L.A. Times and the Hollywood Reporter, as well as standing ovations from audiences in numerous shows she appeared in, including for her performance as Anne Frank at the Wadsworth Theater in Los Angeles.
Tarika has starred and co-starred in numerous independent and feature films, television (i.e. CBS, NBC, Lifetime Television), and stage productions, including some she wrote, directed and produced. Her creative careers include voice-overs and dubbing work for radio, animated features and commercials (Duplicity, War, Inc, Synedoche, New York, etc.)
Tarika studied with the late Shelly Winters at The Actor’s Studio, at Lee Strasberg Theater Institute where she performed in numerous shows, but credits her work with Jackie Benton and Toni Bua at the “Bua Acting For Life” academy for her most cherished creative and personal breakthroughs.
As a singer/songwriter, Tarika was twice offered a record contract, but left music to pursue acting. Her band "Presence" performs nationwide and for the L.A. community. Tarika is the founder of "Sacred Singing", which also facilitates bedside singing in hospice, etc. with a choir made up of members of the Sacred Singing community.
Tarika is currently a subject of a documentary, working on her autobiography, as well as producing a documentary (optioned by HBO), and co-starring in an upcoming feature film.
Sandra Rice is a classically trained opera and musical theatre singer and stage actor. She has received awards throughout the Inland Empire for Best Actress in a musical for her notable leading roles such as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, Judy Bernley in 9 to 5 the Musical, Fraulein Kost in Cabaret, Tzeitle in Fiddler on the Roof, Ulla in The Producers and most notably Janis Joplin in Beehive. Having received her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre with an emphasis in Musical theatre, Sandra has also performed in straight dramatic plays such as Noel Coward’s Hay Fever, Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, Delia and Nora Ephron’s Love, Loss, and What I Wore, and Laura Cunningham’s Beautiful Bodies. Sandra has toured Southern California portraying Janis Joplin in The Janis Joplin Tribute Band. When she is not on stage Sandra can be seen singing in Cabarets channeling iconic performers such as Eva Cassidy, Elvis Presley, Janis Joplin, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Billy Joel and other classics from the Great American Songbook. Sandra was a Disneyland Resort Christmas Caroler in Anaheim in which she had the opportunity to be featured as such in an episode of the CW’s television series Vernica Mars. Recently, Sandra was onstage at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood where she was a backup singer for Josh Groban’s Stages Concert. Sandra has had experience in runway and print modeling and has been trained in jazz, tap, and ballet dancing.
